Station Managers

Josh and Elaine Abbott

Josh and Elaine didn’t grow up with a farming background but both had a huge love for everything involving horses and then later a passion for cattle.

Josh left school at the age of 16 and started work for a Racehorse Trainer in Ascot Perth WA. Elaine too left school early working on numerous farms in the Wheatbelt of WA, one of which was working for the biggest Steam cut chaff producer in Australia. It is here she found a love for the Agricultural Industry.

Wanting to be more involved with the Cattle Industry they both headed North to the Kimberley to work on Stations, where Josh and Elaine eventually met working on neighbouring Stations. By the age of 21, after three seasons in the Stock Camp,
Josh was promoted to Head stockman and never looked back falling more in love with his livestock and the bush.

Wanting to learn other aspects of the cattle industry Josh and Elaine accepted the position of Feedlot Managers with Central Stockcare in 2012. They performed this role for 5 years further growing their agricultural knowledge. Leaving the Feedlot Josh spent a brief time as a Stock Agent before returning with Elaine and their 4 children to Station life again with Central Stockcare Pastoral at Minnie Creek Station.
