Dean's first passion is his family, closely followed by farming, pastoralism and agriculture. He enjoys working dogs and loves playing polocrosse and attending the odd camp draft. His greatest joy is watching his daughters compete in various sports, particularly dancing.

Dean's motto is "The harder I work, the luckier I get".
DIRECTOR

Katie Ryan

Kate Ryan has been surrounded by animals since the day she was born, growing up on her family's mixed farming property near Dongara, WA. Here she developed a powerful connection to livestock and the land, which put her in good stead when she established Central Stockcare (CSC) as a business in 2002. Many years were spent with her father Rob, handling and processing cattle and sheep, always with her cherished dogs in tow. Kate completed her high school years at Presbyterian Ladies' College in Perth then went on to spend time in Australia's north working on cattle stations.

On her return to the west, Kate completed a Bachelor of Business at Muresk Institute of Agriculture, majoring in Marketing. In the early years of CSC Kate spent long days contracting to export companies, farmers and caring for the many cattle Dean and her had agisted across the state. With three young children now being Kate's priority, she cherishes the time spent contributing to cattle work, training horses and working her beloved kelpies. Kate is an equine sports enthusiast, enjoying polocrosse and camp drafting with Dean and their girls when time permits.
